As I went back to the school a li'l while ago, I found that the tiffin-time was over and as always, the remnants of mouth-watering, heavenly Chhole Bhature remained atop the Canteen Tables.
In my times, you could get one plate of these for 8 bucks(The price is now 10 I think). In std. XII, we all used to finish our tiffin's early and rush here to see who's the sacrificial-bakra-of-the-day who has got the money to buy this dish. Then we waited until the poor soul took it from the counter and prounced upon him with greater love than what Hobbes has for Calvin.
We often ended up spilling some 10% of the Chhole, but it sure was great fun.
10 Bucks! and it still beats your Pizza Hut and McDonalds and Dominoes and all these chains combined a thousand times over! :)
Somethings in life should never change.
add that the cutlets and samosas complemented it well.

Remember Bhagvati Chandra (I guess that's her name) used to come over to check on us.
And what a LOOT it used to be in the Canteen. We used to quickly snatch the bhatures and turn
around as if we weren't the one involved :-)
