Sewer Walking

Found this nice poem in one of the TV series, its called Sewer Walking.

Sewer Walking
——————
You and me,
we used to talk
Like a river underground,
the sewer where we used to walk.
The hole at the end
empties out to the pier
Where paperboats disappear
Me, I try to send this note,
Float it like a paper boat,
But paper sinks and words are weak.
I try but I don’t speak
Join together in the silent snow
Turn our faces up to see
Not endless night,
but day
A pier,
And you and me,
talking…

That is absolutley the best poem I’ve ever read. I’ve memorized it by heart. I LOVE the show Jaon of Arcadia and ‘Anonamous’ was my alltime favorite episode because of this poem. In fact, I’m using this poem for Poem in Your Pocket Day at school. I want to know who originally wrote it though………..

It’s been my favorite poem since I watched that episode a few years ago. There’s something about it that’s just..almost..healing.

    Yes, that’s a feeling that’s mutual.

Very powerful show, and the poem matches. Why in gods name did they cancel it? And how come the second season didn’t come out on DVD
